Hey-o, I am in Defy the Dark, with a nerdy vampire guy meets sporty werewolf girl tale! I have a RELEASE. *release party*

(Other cooler people also in it. Check out the cover, yo. ;))

Heeeeey, I am ALSO in Defy The Dark! I wrote an ode to the scary stories I loved as a kid- Teens Making Poor Choices, Scary Alabama Back Roads, and a Monster. Or fifty. ;)

Are you going on tour anytime soon? :)

I actually just got back from tour a couple of weeks ago! But I have a few more events coming up this year, and then I’m fairly sure I’ll be out again in April for REBEL BELLE!

My new love affair

Always be rebloggin’ Edinburgh, both because the new book is set there, and because I miss it like burning.

jonathanball asks: How do you stay focused on a project?

I used to try and juggle two or sometimes even three writing jobs at once. I’d have a novel I’d work on in the morning, a comic I’d be scripting in the evening, and maybe an introduction or a review I’d be scribbling in-between. It…

I really like this, even though I discovered the OPPOSITE was true for me. I went through a really rough patch with writing a couple of years back (ironically just as things were going REALLY WELL FOR ME! OH, UNIVERSE!), and it was taking on multiple projects in smaller bites that pulled me out of that rut. So now that’s what I do. And if that changes one day, then I’ll find something ELSE that works. So what Joe Hill says here about chasing the love/thrill/high, etc. really resonates with me. The process is a process, yo.

Truths about childhood reading.

Let’s ALL WRITE STORIES set in these places, okay? And since a fair amount of said places are baths/pools, I’m guessing the will be ~SEXY~ STORIES. And I am Here For That.

Heeeey! Do you like books? Do you like me? Would you possibly like a book WRITTEN by me? Because HEX HALL is currently $2.99 on Kindle, so you MAY wanna snap that shizz up.

Loch Lomond, Scotland

Part of the new book is set in Edinburgh, with the rest of it happening HERE (or rather in a village near here.) And yes, Edinburgh and Loch Lomond ARE the only places I went to in Scotland back in April. SEE, IRS? TOTALLY RESEARCH.
